About

Dear Google,

Google Analytics has been around since 2005.

While there are certainly a host of privacy and GDPR compliance concerns, Google Analytics has nonetheless become a extremely useful tool.

But in your classic Google fashion, you have also made Google Analytics a burden of complexity for the average Joe.

The endless clicking and scrolling through the default Google Analytics dashboards literally makes my brain hurt.

5 clicks to see the details for the sources of my traffic for the last 30 days? WTF? 🤦‍♂️

3 clicks to change websites/properties? 🤦‍♂️

Endless and confusing "insights"? 🤦‍♂️

Constantly updating API's (V3 to V4)? 🤦‍♂️

It became so annoying that I just stopped checking the dashboard entirely.

Google Analytics is powerful. We know that.

But to the average user, Google Analytics is like cracking a nut with a sledgehammer.

It's overkill.

And while the hundreds of features are overwhelming, it also feels like there are a few things missing!

Including one customizable dashboard for all websites or easy email reports.

I hope that you can address a few of these things, and make Google Analytics a bit simpler for the average user.

But I'm not one for patience, so in the meantime, I'm going to build a tool that makes using yours a bit easier.

With two things in mind: simplicity, and usability.

Because all the power in the world is not useful if it's not wieldable.

Tracking your metrics should be an enjoyable experience.

It should be simple. It should be easy.

It should be like magic .

Because it's hard enough to try to analyze your metrics. Accessing them should be the easy part.

With ❤️,

Jonathan
